- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2019Amazing technology!
I was a bit skeptical of the module specifications which indicated output power ratings of 20W @ 5Vdc, 30W @ 12Vdc & 40W @ 24Vdc; but was pleasantly surprised.
When powered up from lab supply the module quickly annunciated startup with pleasant tone and quickly/easily paired with PC with another pairing confirmation annunciation.
Audio output was literally amazing for such a small module. I grew up on Class AB amps with huge bristly heatsinks and tons of waste heat – not to mention the need for split power supplies. I’ve also more recently tried a number of Class D amps with mixed results.
The lack of a heatsink made me suspicious of the power capability, but this module really rocks – even at 5-6Vdc input!
Looking at the module there are two ICs – one appears to be the Bluetooth interface; and maybe some housekeeping functions, the other “XY-P40W” chip is the power amplifier.
There were some vias in the PCB to wick heat away from the chip, but no heatsink.
I ran the unit at reasonably high volume for several minutes and the chip only got to about 100°F in ~68°F room and was completely cool to the touch. An IR photo is attached.
From the visible discrete circuit elements, the amplifier appeared to be a full H Bridge amplifier due to dual output inductors and multiple capacitors on SPKR + and SPKR – outputs.
I’ve obtained great waveforms from early vintage Half and Full Bridge Class D amplifiers, but capturing waveforms on this module proved quite difficult (to see test sine wave). Some sample waveforms are attached for reference, but unfortunately not very enlightening
Considering the small size of the LC output stage, the operating frequency must be extremely high. Perhaps this is some new type of resonant or delta sigma modulation scheme?
Module build quality is excellent and the laser cut acrylic case is super nice too; making or a neat/professional package.
Likewise, the IR remote is a nice touch and includes coin cell.
This module would be perfect for a normal or compact stereo amp and can easily fill any room with full body sound.
The low input voltage makes this module ideal for mobile stereo for 4X4, golf cart etc. or small portable BT speaker to take to garage/shop etc. A couple of 18650 LiPo batteries would work well for mobile BT speaker…
The only improvements I could suggest would be inclusion of a 1/8 phono jack for old timers like me who like to wire directly.
Likewise, a 2.1 channel version with a subwoofer output would be a great derivative product. Then again, for this price, buy 2 and dedicate one to the SW (using 2nd order LPF(s)).
Excellent module – totally recommend!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2019I am using this BT Audio board for a compact, battery powered stereo speaker setup for my work room. The board could not have been easier to use. Once power is applied, it showed up instantly as an audio device for my smartphone and everything worked as anticipated. Powered from a 3S lipo using 2, 2inch 10 Watt drivers its very loud, (much louder than your typical low cost BT speaker). The remote is handy to have around and the dedicated EQ button is a quick and easy way to tweak your audio quality for the specific drivers you are using.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2023Its Bluetooth so do not expect it to sound like a Krell amplifier or anything however it is about as neat a piece of kit as you could buy for under 50.00. Its just cool as hell. The remote comes with it. The remote battery did not on mine anyhow. Who cares! this thing is about the size of a zippo lighter and it does not sound all that bad. It has a cool little blue LED light the remote works well. It was very easy to pair. It was fun just putting it together. I hooked it up to two Realistic Minimus 7's that I restored. The sound is pretty good for real. Good stereo separation. It may be a little too clean of a sound kinda CD'ish. I would have never dreamed that it would work this well. I just tried it to see at less than 20.00 its a no brainer. But don't take my word on it. Try it yourself and see. My current gear JVC QL-Y5F/Forte 44 preamp/ Krell KSA-150. Yep, I love vintage gear.

Plenty of power for my needs.
The remote works fantastic.
The attach noise is livable. Brief, but loud.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2021If you are buying this device specifically to take advantage of the remote control to use it - look elsewhere! I changed out the batteries and held the remote next to the device and got nothing. I did get really poor connectivity in the beginning, but over time it was useless. It works fine just using your phone, but I bought it in hopes of using the advanced controls on the remote. Sounds fine for the price overall.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2020What is it with companies who provide no documentation on product use or such poor documentation you need a translator for the translation? I have no idea on how to pair it or what the modes are on the remote and I should not have to post a question for something that should have came with it.
If that was not enough the website lists the voltage as starting with 5V but the circuit board was stamped starting at 6v. My "guess" is that it may actually be 5 but I did not want to put the project together only to find out otherwise.
