    Renewed, but Appearently not Repaired
The TV I received has an obvious display problem. (It looked new inthe box and perfect upon arrival.) The color intensity of lower right corner of the display gradually fades out to almost black and white in certain color ranges (skin tones, etc.) I worked with Samsung tech support to factory reset, and run tests, which consistently repeat the problem. You can see the attached photo of one of the display seld-test images, where the tones in the lower right corner are reduced. There are some colors tones that are better/worse than others, but it is obviously BAD. Samsung has hooked me up with their closest repair center, for in house service, as the unit still shows that it is under factory warranty (next appointment is a week away). I sincerely hope they can fix it, because even the thought of having to package it back up for return makes my head hurt, and I will have to get someone to come help me. For the cost, it just isn't worth the hassle. I should be in love with this new TV, but I hate it for all the aggravation it is causing me. I did just contact the seller, to let them know, but I haven't heard back. I will update if things get better/worse. ** Update - Seller contacted via email, and confirmed to go through Samsun for warranty. So far I've had to take time off from work to have an area service person come to tell me the display was bad, but they could get the part and fix it. A few days later, they call and say the part is no longer available and the trouble ticket was sent back to Samsung for an exchange. After 90 minutes on the phone, a new service ticket, and exchange authorization request, and a lengthy online chat, I am waiting for Samsung to contact me back to confirm the model (which makes no sense) and advise me how the exchange will be handled ("typically in 10 to 12 days"). Since all this, I've seen dozens of complaints about Samsung quality control. I will update when/if it is resolved.
