Finding 40 inch 4Ks isn't easy...prices are so cheap now that I guess people go big or go home. In any event, I needed a ~40 inch to fit a specific nook and I wanted 4K, with some 'smarts' and this works great...even Disney+. Good price and good product. IDK what this sells for now, but it was basically the cheapest TV of its size on Amazon when I got it. I didn't need anything fancy at all, and this more than did the job. The picture isn't bad at all but you might want to fiddle with the settings to adjust contrast and brightness depending on the lighting in your room. To be fair, that's true of any TV.

The speakers are tinny and could be better but again, for the price, it's not bad at all. An external sound bar or speakers wouldn't be a bad idea if you care very much about audio quality.

FWIW, I just plugged it into an AppleTV over HDMI so I can't speak to the built-in software, but it was super simple to change the HDMI input so it worked perfectly or my purposes. It remembers the source (HDMI) selection after you turn it off which is important for my purposes and is somehow not always there on smart TVs so that's a plus too.

The TV claims a refresh rate of 120hz; and while I haven't had a chance to test this on any videos or apps (most run at 29.97 anyways), I did plug it into my GeForce 1660 Ti and was capped at 60hz / 60fps. Do not plan on buying this TV for gaming on PC if you want unlocked frames; as the TV hard caps at 60 and if you try and force it; you will probably drop frames on the TV side. Maybe I'm missing something; but because of this; I'm dropping a star. Otherwise great product, pristine picture and performance all around and the color profiles are great; vibrant, dark and warm.

This company Knows how to ship a TV the last company i used just shipped the TV in Bubble wrap in the original box and it was broken. But you can tell that this company cares about the end results when the customer receives their products.

The only issue i have is that the remote has issues the Volume up does not work but the volume down dose the other issue is the directional button all directions work except for the left direction i was hoping they will send me a new one etc and exchange my old one but idk if they will yet i still need to contact the vendor

I purchased this as a low-cost way to get a large amount of screen real estate while setting up a home office. It works beautifully, requiring only a HDMI 2.0 (or better) cable to enable the feature. It has a dedicated image mode for computers, and you need to enable full 4K resolution in the menu (Menu > Input Settings > [HDMI #] > Full UHD Color > On). It has plenty of image adjustments to calibrate the picture (I run it at low brightness since I'm sitting close to the screen). If you're using Windows, be sure to calibrate ClearType (Start > Search > "Adjust ClearType") to work with the differently-oriented subpixels. Only downside is that I do wish computers would send HDMI-CEC commands to wake the TV automatically, but there's not much the manufacturer could do about that! Just keep the remote handy and a single button press gets it started - a small price to pay to get this much screen for so little cash.

Spent a bunch of time setting up the TV and discovered a broken cluster of pixels on the screen. The red one in the picture creating a huge grey patch on some colors. Packed it right back up and contacted the vendor so this could turn into a positive review. Edit: Noticed a hole in the product box that could line up with the bad pixels (hole not on shipping box so suspect it wasn't tested). Pretty easy process for a replacement, got a return label and dropped the bad one off at UPS today so we shall see how the next one works and will update review.

Update: Received replacement, pixels OK but it had the same 2 gray spots in the center (about 6 inches apart one being obvious and the other noticeable). Maybe this is a failure in packaging causing damage in shipping or a common situation with refurbs (looks impact related and not burn in). Or I just hit the bottom of the barrel so to speak. I returned the replacement and went with a new TCL series 4 set. Saved some money and it's pretty close in quality.

I bought this because I saw things for picture settings I liked and for the price.... However its a budget tv.

Things in motion DO NOT look good.... They are very blurry. Despite having such expansive settings in the color tuner it just seems there's TOO MUCH of it.... Witch would not be a problem if it did not produce so much white light, try compensating backlight, contrast, or brightness and it just does not look good enough, very dim.... Almost can't use the brightness(anything past 40 looks too white) and try to turn down the backlight and everything looks dim... Of you just need a tv it's great for the price but if your a snob about picture quality it won't work for you.... But it has AN INCREDIBLE viewing angle
